Frances lives with his mother and brother. His father abandoned the family which has caused Frances to struggle with much sadness.  His mother is a strong woman who tries to encourage her children in spite of their hardships. She is a maid and it is very difficult for her to provide for the family and cannot afford the school fees. Frances failed 5^th grade at his previous school because of the family issues. However, we are working with him to help him get back on track.  He wants to study well and be able to have a good job someday so he can take care of his mother.
