Tartak is from a very poor family. His father is a farm laborer, and his mother is a housewife (although she too works occasionally as a day laborer.) He has one sister. Because his parents’ income does not meet their daily needs, they struggle to survive, often not having sufficient income to cover the children’s school fees. He is a good boy and wants to study.
